These trees grow in a tropical environment and only arose by natural rain drops, in a selected ground rich in natural minerals. This weather condition contributes to finest of the quality of beans, in producing a maximum yield of coffee berries. Therefore this growing condition enhances the caffeine content in coffee beans which must be known as a natural defense, the toxic substance repelling many creatures that would otherwise eat the seeds, just as with nicotine in tobacco leaves.

We import our coffee mainly from Togo and Benin. We are sure you will notice that these are not amongst the world biggest importers. Exactly that is due to the natural growing condition of the coffee trees.

In its natural environment, part of our coffee grows in a plantation under the shade. However, you should know that Shade grown coffee naturally mulches its environment, helping them to last longer, and uses less of the ground's resources. This formation leaves soil’s with constant nutrition resource to nourish the next production over years and years with the same or higher quality. Unfortunately, this condition leaves the plants with smaller cherry, but concentrates the flavors of the cherry into the beans.
